Is this course approved by the Texas TDLR?
Yes. ClearRecord is a state-approved Driving Safety Course (DSC) provider licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
How long is the Texas DSC course?
The Texas Driving Safety Course is 6 hours as required by TDLR. You can complete it at your own pace and resume anytime.
How do I submit my certificate to the court?
After completing the course, download your PDF certificate and submit it to your court along with your driving record (obtained from the Texas DPS). Courts typically require submission within 90 days of your citation.
Can I take this course for any Texas traffic violation?
The Texas DSC is available for most moving violations. However, some violations are not eligible including: driving with an invalid license, passing a school bus, or violations in a construction zone. Check with your court if unsure.
Is there a final exam?
No final exam is required for the Texas Driving Safety Course. You simply need to complete all required course time and content.
